Links & options

Every link option, explained

A pinr link is more than a redirect. Here's every option in the link editor.

General

  • Destination URL - where the link sends people by default.
  • Short link - the domain + slug. Pick a custom slug or let us generate one. Choose a custom domain from the dropdown if you've connected one.
  • Note - an internal label, only you see it.
  • Folder and Tags - organization.
  • Expiration and Password - see below.

Targeting

Send different visitors to different destinations - by country, device, or referrer. See Targeting.

Advanced

  • UTM parameters - source, medium, campaign, term, content are appended to the destination automatically, so your analytics tools attribute the traffic correctly.
  • Custom social preview - set the title, description, and image that appears when the link is shared.
  • Expired fallback URL - where clicks go after the link expires.
  • Cloak destination - keep the destination masked under your domain.
  • Public analytics page - let anyone view this link's click stats. See Public stats.

The rule that makes it powerful

The short link never changes. Everything behind it can - repoint the destination, add targeting, or expire it - and every link you've already shared updates instantly.
